Taunting your big sister

My little one, you may not be out of my belly yet, but you sure have mastered the art of taunting your big sister!

She is dying to feel you kick, and you seem hell-bent on not performing for her.  Last night you were kicking up a storm.  I would wait until you kicked a good 3 or 4 times in a row before I would call Charlotte over.  You would keep kicking the entire time it would take her to walk over to me, but the second she would put her hand on my belly, you would stop.

"Kick, Christmas Baby!" she would yell to my tummy.  She sang you the ABC's and even made up a song, "Oh Christmas Baby, oh Christmas Baby!  Why won't you kick for me!?" that was somewhat to the tune of "Oh, Christmas Tree."

"Mama, try shakin' your belly and see if that makes him kick," she suggested.  I tried it.  You didn't like that too much.

Hopefully soon you will give in and let her feel you kick.  I can't wait to see the look on her face when she feels you moving for the first time.

  1. Ava felt him for the first time this morning! He was kicking up a storm while she was laying in bed with me. As soon as she put her hand on my belly he kicked and her eyes got huge! It was the sweetest thing! Seeing her love for her sibling is a whole new experience for me....it's amazing!
